Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a minute and share what I am thankful for this year, as well as my plans for 2019. Amidst all of the hustle and bustle of the season, it's important to take a moment of reflection. While I don't quite care for the idea of new year resolutions, I find it helpful to take stock of what has been accomplished, and make a plan to start the new year with intention.
2018 has been an incredible year full of exciting challenges, adventures, and a lot of growth. I want to say thank you to all of the people who have trusted me to help them on their healing journey this year and I am always honored and in awe of their bravery, creativity, and resiliency. I also am so grateful for all the friends and colleagues that have supported and helped grow the business this year. I am so lucky to be part of such an amazing community of helpers, healers, and fierce survivors.
I want to start 2019 with a few intentions, and my plan by putting them here is two-fold. First, if I put it out in the universe (and on my website), I have to follow through. And, a little accountability never hurt anyone. Second, I want to announce to my clients the changes and improvements they can expect. This includes:
More blogging! I have not been the best at holding firm to a consistent schedule, but I will be putting out a minimum of one blog a month. Wish me luck!
Re-examining my business values. I find it important to be constantly questioning, challenging my beliefs, and growing. In that spirit, I will make any needed adjustments and measure those changes against my values.
Continuing my ever-growing mild addiction to trainings, learning, and certifications to stay up to date on how to best serve my clients.
Continuing to prioritize and focus on my dedication to therapy that is humble, respectful, and culturally-competent. As well as fighting against mental health stigma and systemic oppression by helping empower my clients and putting social justice and advocacy at the heart of my business.
My wish for all those who read this is that you have a wonderful holiday season and start to your next year surrounded by love, support, hope, and the magic of connection. Take care, and I hope to witness your adventures, challenges, and triumphs in the coming year.
